j'ai l'impression qu'il s'agit d'une traduction semi-automatique car elle nécessite un minimum d'intervention de l'utilisateur.

Le pop-up pour proposer la traduction peut être activée via la barre d'adresse sur l’icône de traduction... Dans about:config, browser.translations.automaticallyPopup doit être à true pour l'activer et false pour le désactiver.

A faire et à paramétrer pour que les pages anglais (ou autre ...) soient automatiquement traduites en français.

Cela fonctionne très bien chez moi suite à la réponse citée.

du coup je viens d'essayer cette soi disant traduction automatique, c'est bien ainsi qu'elle est présentée en tout cas:

Firefox a introduit de nouvelles fonctionnalités de traduction, qui vous permettent de naviguer sur le Web en toute fluidité dans votre langue de prédilection. Lorsque vous naviguez sur un site, Firefox traduit le nouveau contenu sans s’interrompre, en temps réel.

chez moi ça ne fonctionne pas comme ça, mais plutôt comme dit plus bas dans cette page d'aide:

Lorsque vous visitez une page web dans une langue prise en charge, le panneau de traduction s’ouvre automatiquement. Sinon, cliquez sur l’icône de traduction dans la barre d’outils ou sélectionnez Traduire la page dans le menu Hamburguer menu

PS: n'y aurait-il pas un module à installer pour que ce soit vraiment automatique?

exact, j'avais simplement oublié omis de sélectionner "toujours traduire" dans le popeup. Au temps pour moi donc. Je vais m'empresser d'enlever l'option popeup bondissant maintenant que j'ai vu le problème.

comme tu as acheté ton pc avec linux déjà installé et que tu as probablement un blocage à quelque part, essaie de voir si par hasard un pare-feu n'est pas installé, et tant qu'à faire un antivirus aussi même si c'est peu probable:

Fais un peu attention à ce que tu copies et saisies ! : Mazda te donne la commande iptables -L et toi tu lances la commande sudo ptables -L ... il manque le i.
Tu aurais dü t'en rendres compte avec le retour qui t'est donné : sudo: ptables : commande introuvable

C'est important d'observer ce qui se passe et de lire ce que renvoient les commandes !
