Profils FF2 et FF3: J'ai essayé de lancer FF3 en créant, selon les indications des membres, plusieurs profils: en vain.
PUIS, après avoir pris soin d'effacer le profil FF3, j'ai installé FF2 qui a immédiatement fonctionné avec son profil créé par défaut.
ENFIN, la tentative de mise à jour vers FF3 opérée depuis FF2 (et auto-limitée à 3.0.15) s'est heurtée au même échec que le téléchargement direct, même si le profil par défaut a bien été actualisé (de 2 à 3 j'imagine) dans l'opération
Plugins: Il m'est difficile de vérifier l'actualisation des plugins depuis FF3, puisque, précisément il ne fonctionne pas. Tout ce que je peux dire, c'est que je n'ai aucun souci avec les deux autres navigateurs installés IE 8 et Chrome 4.1.

RAS de ce côté là, étant entendu d'une part que çà ne prouve pas grand' chose (pour ma version 2, l'histoire s'arrête visiblement au 3.0.15!) et d'autre part qu'il me semble que ce n'est pas un problème de Plugin. Si c'était le cas, je verrai un minimum du bout de la queue du renard en lançant l'engin. Là je n'ai que le rapport de plantage, sans le moindre clignotement d'écran ou de voyant d'activité de mon DD.

2) Les plugins sont chargés au démarrage de Firefox, aussi si l'un pose problème, il peut tout à fait faire crasher Firefox très très tôt.

Je suis loin d'être un spécialiste, mais si l'absence ou la non actualisation d'un pluging plantait FF3, d'une part çà se saurait, d'autre part çà bloquerait aussi "mon" FF2, puisque les plugings sont les mêmes dans les deux versions.
Mon humble avis est qu'il y a un conflit sinon avec W7 (là aussi çà se saurait) du moins avec un élément du bios de Qosmio (j'ai dû d'ailleurs le réinstaller car le retour de mise en veille redémarrait complètement la machine).

Justement ça se sait: les plugins représentent 40% des crash de Firefox

d'autre part çà bloquerait aussi "mon" FF2, puisque les plugings sont les mêmes dans les deux versions.

Ce raisonnement est incorrect: si le plugin tire parti d'une erreur de codage dans Fx2 et que cette erreur est corrigée dans Fx3: boum.

Je commencerais par tous les désinstaller. Une fois que ton Firefox démarre, tu pourras réinstaller ceux que tu as besoin.

Là tu m'en demandes trop!
S'il se trouve dans la dizaine de plugings présents sur ma machine (et sur des centaines de milliers d'autres, dont mon ancien Satellite sur lequel FF3 tourne parfaitement) un programme capable de planter à ce point Firefox 3.6, il convient d'en avertir d'urgence Mozilla et de lui conseiller de sortir d'urgence un 3.7!

Cela faisait un certain temps que je considérais qu'il ne saurait y avoir de bonnes journées sans Firefox (j'ai même débuté avec Firebird) mais il va falloir que je m'habitue....Chrome n'est pas si mal!

Ce n'est pas le bon candidat: je l'ai viré sans succès. Il date du 10 mars 2007. J'ai d'ailleurs viré tous les fichiers du répertoire PF/Mozilla Firefox/Plugins (ce que je fais à chaque fois que j'installe-réinstalle FF), avec la même conséquence...le seul qui se recharge au lancement de FF 3.6 est npnul32.dll

J'ai repéré trois trucs qui sont problématiques mais j'ignore s'ils sont la cause du problème.

• AutocompletePro À supprimer ? (voir http://www.geckozone.org/forum/viewtopi ... =5&t=82984).
• Partner (Partner.dll) ne semble pas vraiment recommandable.
• pdfforge Toolbar a déjà posé de gros problèmes avec Firefox. À supprimer.

Maintenant, le rapport HijackThis me semble monstrueux mais c'est peut-être normal avec Seven que je ne connais pas du tout. À ta place, j'irais quand même demander des avis sur un forum spécialisé Windows comme Zebulon, libellules.ch ou PC Astuces. Je pense qu'il doit y avoir moyen d'optimiser ton PC qui paraît vraiment "chargé".

Dans C:\Program Files (dans XP c'es là) renomme le dossier Mozilla Firefox en onsenfouMozilla Firefox après avoir fermé tous les processus Firefox ouverts, puis installes la version que tu souhaites = FX3.6 au mieux ! Ensuite supprimes le dossier renommé après que tu es démarré Firefox pour voir les changements. Ok ? merci à toi si ça marche.
