FF : utilisation quasiment impossible

Bonjour,

J'espère que c'est ici la bonne section pour exposer mon problème :

je suis sous Mac OS 10.9 et j'ai énormément de difficultés avec Firefox qui m'annonce de plus en plus souvent que "Mince, l'onglet a planté". Avant c’était 2 ou 3 sites, maintenant il y en a plus de sites qui ne s'ouvrent plus que ceux qui fonctionnent... Hier j'ai dépassé les 200 crashes de pages, pas rigolo !! Les traceurs/mouchards sont en principe bloqués via Ghostery et Privacy Badger (quand ils ont le temps de réagir vue que la page crashe immédiatement...
J'ai ces problèmes depuis environ 2 mois après une mise à jour depuis, si mon souvenir est bon, la version 55 ou 57.

Impossible aussi de réaliser mon login sur certains sites comme Banque Postale, SNCF, Ameli, Deviantart, Audi-passion, Volkskrant, Le Monde et j'en passe (la page crashe après quelques secondes). Il m'est aussi impossible de taper quelque chose dans la barre d'adresse de FF (FF crashe immédiatement).
Mots de passe et cookies ne sont jamais enregistrés malgré que je réponds positivement à la demande de FF. Pour aller sur votre site je dois à chaque fois renseigner de nouveau mon identifiant et mot de passe, même si j'ai seulement regardé un autre site dans une autre fenêtre... sans redémarrer FF.

J'ai utilisé la fonction réparation de FF, crée un nouveau profil, démarré sans extensions : rien à faire.
J'ai installé FF de nouveau en supprimant l'ensemble du dossier FF et même ouvert une nouvelle session sous un autre identifiant : côté problèmes ça reste identique, aucun changement.

Je laisse mes coordonnées à chaque fois quand ça plante en espérant - comme c'est indiqué - que quelqu'un le prends au sérieux et me contacte. Non, rien.
Je ne sais plus quoi faire mais je serai obligé d'installer un autre navigateur, impossible de travailler comme ça.
Sauf, la solution miracle...

j'étais dans la mauvaise rubrique mais ne sais pas comment supprimer l'autre...
Bon, j'ai un autre problème. Dès que je vais sur la page des préférences FF ferme.
